Very interesting game!! I enjoyed it but also was very confused in a couple spots lol. Thought I'd share my playthrough for other people who apparently don't understand basic instructions like me ^.^;
that's normal for any indie game you download to a mac. if i remember correctly, you have to right click on the game file and choose to open it, instead of just double clicking on the file to start it.

I've never found myself being scared of watching TV until today. Its the TV that is unsettling. every time you press to switch the channel its DISTURBING. Its either peppa pig or Happy Tree Friends. Disturbing game...
This game was very strange, but I think overall my favorite component (and the one that freaked me out the most) was the tv itself; not knowing what was going to pop up on the screen was incredible unsettling, and it gave me the feeling of not wanting to look and not wanting to look away. The depressing, unlit house captured that feeling you get when you draw the curtains and do nothing but stare at a screen for 4 hours. I think I'm going to get some outdoor time after playing this, which speaks to a job well done of capturing a mood that left me feeling like I needed to get away from screen time. Keep up the good work Matthew!
MATT BACK AT IT WITH THE WEIRDEST HORROR GAMES XD Seriously though you don't miss man! This game was creepy and super unpredictable and that jumpscare almost made my heart stop! Keep it up my brother!

you can hold control and click the app, then press the open button. if not, you can try option I think, don't use a mac

it is the effect/filter that gives everything a slight blue greenish tint around everything. Also an option to turn of the vhs would be neat too.
For a good example specificly, in the new puppet combo game 'blood wash' you can toggle CRT effect on/off and toggle from vhs to psx graphics etc.
crt is cathode ray tube television.
it used an RBG pattern to display colors ( we use pixels now )
and often produces chromatic aberration ( When the Red, green, and blue patterns get displaced, causing them to bleed.
the game is a bit too dark in color, and I'd also add that the last message flashing green and white so rapidly warrants an epilepsy warning.
