I won't speak to the technical side of the game since I'm not a developer, but I really don't appreciate the use of AI voices. It's not hard to find quality actors, and the rise in AI is only going to make it harder for quality talent to find work. Let's not perpetuate the use of it, please. With regards to story and narrative devices this has potential and you've got a great concept on your hands. It's a nice offshoot of the "moon's haunted" meme. Gameplay wise it'd be cool to see this expanded to more than just walking back and forth.
I dont see why its such a big deal, it might help budget wise, and you really hardly notice it with the effects and all, its a free game anyway so i dont think it matters.
i like the concept and the end sequence. everything else about the game was cliche and boring.
the main objectives being to walk from point A to point B could work if the dialogue was more interesting and if there were subtitles. the theme of it being found footage from the early 70s is very boring and not unique at all, and detracts from the experience by making every footstep blow my eardrums out and the audio being so poor in quality that i don't know what is being said 50% of the time. something else worth mentioning is that the main scary face is also already very overused in other media including other games, which is understandable if the rest of the game had more work put into it, but it didn't.
the concept of the entire moon being haunted is awesome because it's not usually what we think of when we think of a haunted place, it's usually a house or something. the ending sequence was put together really well, with the corruption of the audio and the same distance number being used as one of the scares. the faces over the hills was also really fun, although it could've played a bigger part in the game instead of a weird easter egg you have to zoom in to find.
overall, good first game, but if the creator has made many other games before, especially in horror, it's a very boring project. 4/10
(SPOILER) I absolutely love the atmosphere of this game, the rolling lunar hills are so eerie, and knowing that something is quickly closing in on your location that you can't even see until it kills you is so chilling. It's short, and the overall concept is very simple, but a full-length game with this sort of setting and general idea, with some more interaction and story, would be incredible to play. Well done! :)
I think if this project will get enough attention it may become a really great horror game. Since the space topic was always one of the best fields where the ''crops'' of horror genre can ''grow'', I am sure that this game can be turned into something like Slenderman game at least
Edit: Here's an Idea. If you (developer) are looking for evolution of this game, maybe you should change the ending from that jumpscare to the animation of either falling under the surface or for example falling down on the surface, facing the stars and as a sound make it just the static. This way you'll be able to expand the storyline with more stuff.
Although not your action packed horror game, you can really feel the whole "alone out there" vibe... or are you alone? I'm a sucker for anything sci-fi horror, and this is no exception. And the dialogues we're nice as well, good job! It's the second game in my video.
A 500MB game where you go from point A to point B and back to point A, with what I assume to be AI-generated voices?
A ton of cliche like when the voice starts telling you not to run (cause it’s not really the same voice that was talking to you before! ooooo spooky!). And a crappy jumpscare in the end as a cherry on top.
Shader that carries the whole artstyle is copy-pasted from the internet, the textures are inconsistent (the panel uses high res textures while everything else is blurry)
Considering this is assumingly not your first game, I’d say it’s 1/10, at least for SOME effort
This is what's so called "horror shortgame". This kind of content is developed in a matter of days. Low quality shaders and crusty effects is part of experience, and it is definitely not meant for high quality.
The game being 500MB while having little content is probably because developer chose to prioritize ease of developing process rather than optimization, besides what's the matter? You download it, play it, and delete it.
This was a very short, but very enjoyable game! Absolutely loved the atmosphere and to be honest, it’s how I’d probably imagine what the Moon’s surface would look like! 🌖 I honestly think you should explore this idea more and continue to build a full fledged story out of this! Good job dev! 👏

Awesome concept !! Really tense all the way through as well.
Only downside is that the voice acting seems to be AI, i hope i'm wrong but that is really the bad thing if that's the case.
But still a very enjoyable horror game and it does the job wonderfully !
I made a video on your game if you're interested :).
this one could have been a lot better, i like the idea, could have been a longer game, would be dope!!
Is this available on mac? If so why does it not run?
there MIGHT be something on the moon
matt
hey I saw the song is blowing up, I hope its helped and again thank you for posting it when I asked
Uh, really quick and cool game. Like 5 minutes tops. Only complaint is for a "moon" environment, the jumping is absolute garbage.
day 666 of posting till I get 1k views!
do you know the definition of insanity??
nope
Vaas!

I Liked The Overall Theme Of The Game And The Story Is Great For How Short The Game Is. 7.5/10.

I guess You’re right. Sorry, I’m just more used to full fledged experiences myself, hence the harsh comment I left.
pretty good game
i thought that would be a lot longer given they said there were 8 recordings. is it even possible to get back to the capsual?
